Keeping our children safe and protected is one of the most important jobs that we have on this planet. We all want the best for our children and to keep them out of harm’s way. Which is why the range of KidScreen window mesh products was invented. See why security screen door and windows are necessarily and legaly required in Sydney.
What is KidScreen?
KidScreen window systems were developed as a response to an NSW construction code stipulating that all windows 2 metres or more above the ground needed to resist 250N (or 25 kgs) force on them from the inside out, and they could not be openable to more than 125mm. This is to prevent children from crawling out of windows and taking very dangerous falls.
The KidScreen system is a mesh system put in place that fits over the window so that the window can be left open securely. It complies with the NSW safety laws. It is imperative that all residential strata buildings now have compliant windows in place by March 13, 2018. This deadline is now less than a year away. The beauty of KidScreen mesh screens is that they keep kids safe, comply with the law, while still allowing the window itself to be openable.
KidScreen screens are custom made for each window to be fitted and are available in two different types of mesh materials: reinforced polyester, or stainless steel 316 grade. Both are tough and provide the ultimate protection for children. The meshes are both very fine, which means that it does not detract from the overall original look of the window. The mesh security screens themselves are able to be configured by an adult, to help get out the window, should the situation arise in the state of an emergency. They provide peace of mind that your children are protected for any given situation.
